Moonraker Alpaca Farm Our small hobby farm began as a dream in 2015. Moonraker Alpaca Farm, located in Jackson County, WV, is home to 20 Huacaya alpacas, and 3 guardian dogs.

We sell Alpaca products and alpaca yarn. New for 2026 we have joined an Agritourism Trail.

We are excited to be a stop on the Roots & Routes Ag Trail that can take you on a journey visiting farms and farm stands in Jackson, Roane, Mason, Putnam, Wood and Wirt Counties. This wonderful opportunity is compliments of the Ripley Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Some sites may have a fee for activities and events.

Alpacas are frustrated with Mother Nature. 5 days ago a winter storm dumping 6+ inches of snow, which they love. Today, near 90°, and watching for heat issues due to the change.

Each night in my prayers, I thank God for many things, Including our responsibilities raising and caring for our animals. We found this hanging on the gate wire this morning. Fiber or dog fur tangled in the weave of the wire, with two pieces of hay wrapped in the fiber forming a cross. 🙏 🤲
