Happy Earth Day!! This year we have decided to give up everyday paper plates, paper towels, and cleaning wipes. Last week we used the last paper towel and it's not easy, but we're doing it! We challenge you to eliminate 1 paper product from your home!

Did a little canning tomatoe sauce today. Got 13 quarts,1 pint, 7 gallon and 5 quart bags. Yesterday 4 meat chickens went to freezer camp. We are a little tired to say the least.

Thank you Lord for the beautiful harvest! We picked the garden today. It was HOT but we got 4 quarts speckled butter beans, canned some pickles, maters for our salad and a baby cantaloupe.

This was yesterday morning. I milked momma and fed him colostrum 4 times thru the early morning.

We took 2 goats in at the end of the year and 5 months later, surprise. The little grey one had a rough start he got CPR for an hour, had to clear his lungs of alot of fluid. He came out breech and basically lifeless the first 3 hours and his umbilcal cord had been ripped off and pouring blood. He couldn't hold his head or stand, but determination and team work payed off. Thank you Lance. We will watch him closely the next week. Named him Rocky cause he's a fighter! Brother is Rambo.
