For all you fans of Holy Moses Concessions we have retired from the kettle corn🌽 and hotdog 🌭 vending business, but you have a chance to get one of those incredibly delicious hotdogs we were locally famous for this Saturday (7/13/2024), and some GREAT hamburgers!I have recently been called to be the Pastor of SonLife Fellowship Church at 2420 Lawrence Rd, Marianna,FL, and tomorrow from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM on the church grounds the church is having a “meet & greet” event to introduce their new pastor and wife (Steve & Phyllis Umholtz — that’s us 😇👩‍🌾) to the community. Everyone is invited and the hotdogs🌭, hamburgers🍔, chips, and drinks are FREE!! The original Holy Moses hotdog menu will be available: The All American Dog, Chili Dog (with Phyllis’ awesome homemade chili), Sweet Southern Slaw Dog, Kraut Dog, and yes, can you believe, the best hotdog 🌭 you’ve ever eaten, the incredible “Southern Boy” hot dog will be there for you to choose. So, come on out and join us for a good time, some great Holy Moses style hotdogs, delicious burgers, and a chance to meet the new pastor. Hope to see you there.

Here's my over 50 year old photo of James Arness getting ready to go up with the U.S. Navy Blue Angels,I have no other information on this photo other then a date of January 25,1974 and The Blue Angels Water Mark.

Arness wanted to Fly for the United States Navy during WWII, but he was 6'7"and 6'2" was the max height at that time for Aviators so James instead drafted into the U.S. Army.30 years and 3 days after landing in Anzio, he fulfilled a dream of his,the 1974 Jets were big enough by then to accommodate Arness height..-Dave.

Ok Holy Moses fans this is it!!! Today is the LAST day for Holy Moses. We will be shutting off the kettle and closing down the concession business! So, if you want some of what many of you say is the best kettle corn in the panhandle you need to come on up to Malone for their annual Pecan Festival. I have a special treat for the early birds. I have 10 bags of Pecan Caramel corn with plenty of pecan pieces in it. This will probably go quickly so come on up and get you some. Thank all of you fans who have supported Holy Moses; it has been a good ride.

For all you Holy Moses fans, we were at the Sunland festival yesterday (10/28/2013) from 7:00 AM TO 3:00 PM. What a work out! Then we packed up and left to go to the Circle D Rodeo. We had a line of about 15 people for a solid three hours. Talk about tired — we finally got home at 11:45 Pm. We sold out of some stuff so I had to get up this morning and cook up so more of the “best kettle corn” in the panhandle. We left the house around noon and headed back to the rodeo for its last day. There Is still time for all of you to come on out and join us for some great food & fun. We will be here until dark, or later. Holy Moses will have all of their great hotdogs (chili dogs, slaw dogs, kraut dogs, All American dogs, and our special “Southern Boy” hotdog. We will also have those delicious “walking tacos”, & Frito Chili Pie in addition to ice cold soft drinks. Hope we see some of you!!
