Leaving part of a crop unharvested might sound wasteful, but it's actually practical land management. Wildlife that finds food in the fields stays put instead of wandering into villages looking for a meal. It reduces conflict between farmers and animals, protects both, and keeps ecosystems functioning on the land itself.

This farmer in Italy gets it—you don't always need to squeeze every last bit from the land. Sometimes the smartest move is stepping back and letting nature have its share. It's not complicated. It's just working with what's already there instead of against it.
