Red sky at night is a sailors delight..... wonder if it is true for a farmer? it was sure a beautiful sunset last night.

Well we had some storms come through this afternoon and it really hit my garden hard. the corn and the tomatoes took it the hardest. Not sure if the corn will straighten up or not, and can't tell if the tomato plants are broken or just laying down. still raining hard and steady here.

I went and set up this morning at the ACE parking lot and had a great turnout. Sold the 6 pounds of green beans I harvested yesterday and most of the cucumbers and some squash.
THANK YOU!! to all that stopped and bought the fresh veggies. I will be back at the same location most mornings and tomatoes and corn will soon be on the menu as well as peppers.

This mornings Harvest. 6 pounds of green beans, 4 zucchini and 6 yellow squash and 7 cucumbers. I hope someone will buy these before I have to give them away to. Text me @615-397-7974 if you are interested. I can deliver to Portland and White House.

So I just got home from donating what I had left from the first harvest to Portland Pay It Forward. it had been harvested for 4 days so I didn't think it was really fresh anymore.At least it will be eaten and not thrown away. I did finish weeding the tomatoes and they are really turning fast. Peppers are looking good too.

I talked with the fine folks at ACE Hardware in Portland and they said I could park in their parking lot to sell my produce. If your interested come by and see me. Will be there at 2 pm.

Here is the price list for what I have.
all Squash, Cucumbers and Mountain Pride Tomatoes will be .75 each or 3 for $2.00.
Sun Sugar Yellow Cherry Tomatoes $2.00 for 8 oz.
Jalapeño Peppers and Cayenne Peppers will be 4 for $1
Bell Peppers (not ready at this time)
Red and Yellow will be $1 each or 3 for $2.50
Green will be .75 each or 3 for $2.00
Green Beans and Tomatoes will be sold by the pound @ $2.50 per pound.
