TennTucky Line; a play on the Kentucky Common style. Classically one of the only American born styles and highly consumed pre-prohibition, the Kentucky Common was made with cheap 6 row barley and corn, fermented fast, and served right out of the barrels. We take Rahr premium 6 row barley, and mash in with TN stone ground grits from Readyville Mill. While boiling with just enough hops to create a bittering balance, we add local sorghum from Muddy Pond Farm. The result is an old time style light ale, with a velvety texture, mild corn and sorghum sweetness, and incredible crushability. 4.7% abv
