A few images from around the farm.
Our pastures are growing nicely and greening up.
The Bucks in our Buck paddock are really nice.
Some of them are headed to their new herds.
The current kidding crop is growing nicely.
Sometimes we get so busy and caught up in the daily grind, we forget to stop and see just how blessed we are.

Michelle and I want to say a big Thank You to all bidders at the 2023 Savanna Spectacular.
Also a Big Thank you to Pedigree International, Consigners, and all those who worked so hard to make it a tremendous success!!!! It is impossible to name every one but thank you!! It is awesome to see old friends and to meet and make new ones.
From the Gala, the barn Set up, The Eddie Markham Buckle presentation, the raffles, seminars, Buckle Up Contest, the Auction, and most of all, the fellowship, it was a complete success!!! This is the perfect example of what happens when everyone pulls together as a team.

This marvelous beast of a buck from Bushra Stud - Kalahari Reds & Boer Goats sent shock waves across Botswana and the region on Sat. 02nd Sept 2023 when it sold for a jaw-dropping price of BWP92,000-00 (ZAR128,000-00) at the Platinum Genetics Sale held at Stockmans Choice in Tlokweng.

Having come out at Lot 7, the buck was the highlight of the Inaugural Sale which also registered a Botswana record of 46 x webcast online bidders on the CDP Auctioneers - Corne Du Plessis platform.

So wonderful to see breeders unite and support one another across borders in an effort to grow the breed, strengthen the industry, and show the might & rise of the REDS! Sharing of genetics in the region can only benefit the goat industry at large more sustainably, and this is truly progressive for the Kalahari Reds breed!
