Today is a perfect day to bake some eggshells! Crushed dried eggshells are a simple, natural source of calcium. They’re great for supporting strong bones and eggshell production in chickens, and can be used in small, properly prepared amounts for dogs and cats too.
We always rinse the shells first to remove any leftover egg residue, then bake them for about 10 minutes to dry and sanitize them, making them safe to use. They’re also perfect for your garden and compost, adding calcium to the soil, helping plants grow strong, and preventing common issues like blossom end rot.
