We had a busy show weekend. But our goat herd is moving in the right direction.
Aurora's goats are definitely going places. Maize daughter Fast N Furious took 3rd out of a class of 10. 🖤🌹🐐 Very exciting.
Oreo was middle of her class in the 2 year old milkers. Also very exciting.

"Kids" are ALL growing good. We had some extra "help" in the goat barn this weekend.
Older kids got their tattoos and mommas are producing well. We have 3 first fresheners that are still getting used to milking but we are all managing, somehow.

Today's episode of "which goat will kid today" Petunia showed her signs of "this is happening, I need somebody, get away from me, wait please sit with me"
Triplets. V16 - tiny 1.74 # girl, V17 - massive 4.10 # boy & V18 - almost lost 2.65 # boy.
We pulled the doeling as there's no way she could reach to nurse, we attempted grafting her on to Musketeer who kidded last night but it wasn't going too well. But we stole some snacks and milk for later. For now little Miss tiny tot is curled up in a crate by the fire. Wish us luck.

Well, what a day. First kidding for these lovely lady's.
Oreo finally decided it was time to release her hostages. V13 - 2.99 # boy & V14 - 3.03 # boy. She is doing a terrific job.
Meanwhile, in the stall next door, Musketeer gave us a big girl that was a big push for first time. V15 - 3.87 # girl.
During both labors, these 2 girls talked with each other the whole time. Then Oreo tried to steal the baby. 🤣
We are so proud of our momma's.

We cleaned all the stalls in the barn this weekend while enjoying the much needed rain.
This is mother n daughter with the children. Too much fighting was going on in the big stall so for now they are sharing a separate stall.

Moonshine finally managed to deliver her twin boys this afternoon. V11 - 3.12 # buck & V12 - 3.49 # buck. Poor ol girl had a bit of a time with the first one trying to come out head tucked nose down and poll first, but once he came out the second came out just fine. All are doing well and tucked in for the night.
