What do you do if you can’t collect eggs because of a blizzard and so can’t be sure which ones froze overnight? Cook ‘em all up & feed ‘em back! Great source of protein for our birds. (And the dog & cats might get some if they behave!) The shells get pulverized and sanitized and put out as a calcium supplement for both our chickens and quail, or saved up to go in the garden come spring. Waste not want not! And this way we know our customers are only getting eggs that are fresh. We should have enough to go back out for sale tomorrow or Friday.

If anyone needs eggs before the snow, we can do pickups today (Sunday 2/22) until 5:00 pm - just let us know!Nightbird F...

Narragansett stand is stocked today!

So many cherry tomatoes! Some really cool varieties like Brad’s Atomic Cherry, Blush, and Apple Yellow, as well as our usual mixes. Hot peppers - Serrano, jalepeño, cayenne, hot banana. And flowers - the glads are starting to bloom!
