As we get closer to opening for the season, we wanted to give everyone a quick update and thank you for your patience!

This spring has brought cooler temperatures and slower growing conditions than usual, which has pushed our opening date back a little later than we had hoped. While we wish we could open sooner, we are committed to offering the best quality produce possible.

We are incredibly thankful for our family who have helped along the way and for our kiddos, who are always willing to lend a hand and never complain about the long hours. From planting seeds to pulling weeds and everything in between, this season has been filled with hard work and long nights.

One thing that makes Little Acre special is that everything we sell is grown right here by us. We don’t outsource our produce. What you find in our store comes directly from our fields and our family’s efforts.

The good news is that opening day is getting close! Keep an eye on our page over the next week or two as we’ll be announcing our official opening date very soon.

Thank you for supporting local agriculture, local families, and our dream. We can’t wait to see you all at Little Acre! 🌱❤️

🌱 Welcome to Little Acre Produce 🌱

🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒 Who are we?

My husband, Robert Allen, and I, Riley Allen, are both originally from Fountain County. In 2025, we moved to Covington and began a new chapter for our family.

Our gardening journey started with a passion for growing healthy, high-quality food for our own family. Not long after moving here, we decided to take a leap of faith and plant the large-scale garden we had always dreamed about.

As parents of four kids, we’ve seen firsthand how harsh chemicals and pesticides can impact children’s health. That realization eventually led us to create Little Acre Produce, so our community can have convenient access to fresh, healthy produce grown with care.

🌿 So what makes Little Acre Produce different from big grocery stores?

• Most everything we sell is grown in our own family garden
• We grow using organic practices
• No pesticides
• Only organic fertilizers
• Produce that is picked fresh from our garden

The only items we plan to source locally are:

🌽 Sweet corn – from Rennick’s Non-GMO Sweet Corn
🫐 Blackberries, raspberries – from John Allen

Our goal is simple:

To provide clean, affordable produce grown with care for our families and yours.

We are so excited to bring this to Covington and cannot wait to open our doors soon.

Something special is growing in our town… 🌱

Our family is excited to announce that we are opening Little Acre Produce, a small family-owned produce market featuring vegetables grown right from our home garden using organic gardening practices. Located in Covington, IN.

What started as a simple backyard garden with our kids has grown into something we wanted to share with our community.

At Little Acre Produce you’ll find:

🍅 Homegrown vegetables
🥕 Fresh seasonal produce
🌿 Food grown using organic practices
🏡Harvested by our family

Our goal is simple: bring fresh, honest food grown with care to our community.

We’re currently preparing the garden and the storefront and can’t wait to open our doors.
