We’re on the lookout for a skilled Short Order Cook to join our team and help us serve up smiles one plate at a time!
What You’ll Be Doing:
As a Short Order Cook, you’ll play a key role in keeping our kitchen running smoothly and ensuring our customers enjoy the tasty treats they’ve come to love. Your responsibilities will include: - Preparing and cooking menu items quickly and efficiently. - Maintaining a clean and organized workspace. - Following food safety and sanitation guidelines. - Assisting with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed. - Collaborating with the team to ensure smooth service during busy shifts.
What We’re Looking For:
To thrive in this role, you’ll need: - At least 1 year of experience as a cook or in a similar role. - The ability to lift up to 40 lbs. - A commitment to punctuality and reliability. - A positive attitude and a strong work ethic. - Availability to work shifts primarily from 2:30 PM to 8:30 PM, with total weekly hours ranging from 24 to 30 hours.

Ellen’s Snowballs & Old Fashioned Malts in Covington, LA is looking for people to join our team. We are located on 78495 Highway 437, Ste A. Our ideal candidate is punctual, hard-working and reliable.

Available hours to work: Sunday-Saturday and shifts are between the hours of 9am-9pm

Hourly pay: $7.50 and up based on experience plus tips after training.

Responsibilities
• Get work done in a timely manner & properly
• Greet customers entering and leaving the building and make
them feel at home
• Answer any questions the customers may have
• Clean work area as needed to maintain a tidy work
environment
• Take food orders in person and on the phone
• Accurately process all cash and credit payments
• Provide exceptional customer service
• Prepare desserts
• Bring food to customers
During the shift and Closing time clean-up
Must have good personal hygiene

Qualifications
• Friendly attitude even when dealing with disgruntled
customers or employees
• Responsible and proven ability to maintain scheduling
commitments (If you are under 18, your parents or guardians
must agree to these terms.)
• Basic mathematical skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication skills with customers
