May 31st... finally it can be said that's a wrap on for the first time and second hopefully! It was a busy and long day. Flowers planted, manure spreader inspection by the farm manager , some spraying, roadside mowing, and 3rd patch of sweetcorn in the ground.

On this Memorial Day we would to remember all of the men and women that paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

As many people had the day off, we were still hard at it.

This past week was busy! A few showers allowed a little bit of rest, but missing most of it as it went south of us meant there wasn'ttoo much time to slow down. From planting beans and corn, working ground, and side dressing before we are even finished planting the days we're long. Meals were delivered, parts were ran for and more hoses fixed, we are blessed and thankful God has kept us safe and healthy during plant 2026.

An old timer ways used to say "no 2 years are alike in farming" which is very true. No where in our planning did we plan for a spring with so many challenges. As the challenges come up God sees us through them. We still have both corn and beans to plant and some beans to replant. With some rain coming in at the first of the week, we unhooked the corn planter so we could stsrt sidedressing our N on the early planted corn (April 11th and 12th).
