Smashable Sweets was an idea inspired by my beautiful son, Tristan. I decided to create a homemade smash cake for his first birthday/photo shoot, because I couldn't find a store that would give me a perfect mini-cake that balances beauty, taste, color, style, and most importantly, smashability! I wanted something fun and photogenic, not cookie cutter and generic. So I took my love of baking and al
l things decorating to the next level. The results are a delicious, moist cake that can come in chocolate, butterscotch,vanilla or whatever flavor mom and dad want their little one to try for the first time on their special day. I don't work with fondant, because I believe a cake should be covered in soft, delicious frosting and not some hard, tasteless paste. My home made butter cream frosting has a feather light texture that looks beautiful and encourages little fingers to dive right in. For many babies this will be their first time experiencing the joy of sugar, and we aim to please! Prices range from 30-65$ and are based on size, difficulty, flavor, and number of colors requested. I also do cake-pops for those with older children (or just because they taste so darn good!)
