Commercial Katahdin Ewes Available: We’re reducing the breeding flock and are making these 7 ewes available. They are ages 4-8 and had either twins or triplets in March. They come from a pasture-based flock that consistently has a 200+ percent lambing rate. UTD on CDT and hooves trimmed in May. Have been worked kindly by Border collies. Being offered as a group. Located in west central Ohio. Also have March ram lambs available.

Three Katahdin cull ewes available. Have been worked kindly by Border collies. Available as a group. Can add some March wether lambs for a larger working flock. These ewes have been raised in a pasture-based system and are up-to-date on CDTs. Not to be used for breeding (bad bags) and are priced accordingly. Located in west central Ohio. Also have ram lambs and breeding ewes available.

After lambing for nearly 20 years, we hit a record this year. Less than 12 days between the first and the last lambs. And, what a fantastic lambing season it was--206% lambing rate, no stillbirths or other lambing issues. The lambs and ewes look great too--good conformation, bone structure and healthy. They'll be grazing and growing for the next several months. In midsummer, we'll start offering ram lambs, wethers and a limited number of ewes for sale. The photo is of the last lamb born overnight. My one and only single--and he's a chunky ram lamb.

When I bought my first Katahdins nearly 20 years ago, my goal was to raise quality, easy-care sheep that produced and raised sturdy, robust lambs. Today, I looked into the pasture and saw this ewe with twin ram lambs. In a two hour period, she had given birth, cleaned them up and had them both nursing.
