A lot of you don’t know this but I had a Brick and Mortar location back in 2015. He blessed me with this craft but in return, I celebrated in sin so he stripped away and put me through trial after trial, pain after pain, and fire after fire until I learned to surrender and give him the glory. I’m sober now, I’m disciplined, and I carry his light to help lead others out of the darkness. This is more than just bbq this is a movement, this is my testimony, and this is redemption! Now we celebrate victories in his name and with Ice Cream! So if you are praying on my downfall, I just want you to know that I got a team now and God is with me! Just want ice cream??? No worries, we got you covered! You will be able to walk in, go back to our year round Dogg Pound Sundae and Milkshake Bar, and build your own Sundae or pick one of our Handcrafted Gourmet Milkshakes to go!

The contract is signed, and 308 Liberty Street in Covington, IN is officially the home of DOGG POUND BBQ SMOKEHOUSE AND ALE! 160 seats and a premium destination right here on the square!

This moment is for the underdogs! This is proof of what happens when you refuse to stay down! God is in the business of restoring lives and redeeming what was lost to alcohol and addiction. I am a walking testimony of His grace, and I’m proud to share my trials and my victory with everyone! And he’s still not finished yet!

This is for everyone who believed in the dream, and even more for the grind, the late nights, and the raw sacrifices it took to get here. Huge shoutout to my family and friends for holding down the perimeter with me. No fear, no doubt……we keep showing up, we stay locked in, and we get busy! We are excited to share this with you guys! We just got our POS Hardware and Software in and going to start getting everything setup! All of our servers will be equipped with their own Pocket Handhelds for quick order taking and payment right on the spot! We won’t be writing tickets or have to run orders back to the kitchen because as soon as your orders are submitted, they go straight to our KDS Monitor in the back of the house! Not only does this speed up ticket times but also sends tickets for all drinks and prints out at the bar for The Briquettes to get on your drinks immediately! Our goal is to be fast and efficient all while giving you the best customer service experience!

We are still a little ways away. We are still waiting on menus to be finalized, final mockups of staff uniforms, our sign is on the way, and all of our team is completely staffed! We are excited and pleased with the team we’ve built and looking forward to start training! Like mentioned before, we are not going to rush this process as we are taking this very seriously to give you the best experience when we open for years to come! We just wanted to give you a little update and let you know we’ve been working hard behind the scenes and think you guys are going to enjoy the new menu and everything we got coming! Good evening! Here is an update! We have all of our bartenders set and they will be known as “The Briquettes” and we have all of our night shift servers locked in. We are looking for a few more day shift servers and a few more line cooks to join the team! If you are interested feel free to message and please have resume ready with experience for which position you are applying for. We are excited to get launched here soon. The back outdoor patio seating area is finished and just putting the final touches on the inside. With that being said, we will only be opening once the team is established and trained on the new menus and menu items. This has been a long time coming and we are not going to rush the process. We have to be prepared and sharp once those Grand-Opening doors open! Thank you all for your continued support! Once we have an opening day, we will make a post and market.
