Way Out Farmstead is offering organically-raised vegetables, fruit, eggs & meats at the end of the Toandos Peninsula. This is our fourth season learning and growing here, and we are excited to share the bounty with our community! Come over for on-farm sales every Saturday from 10 am - 4 pm.

We'll be opening a little late today; come see us after 12:00 noon. If the timing doesn't work for you, take a look at our product list online and email us your order; we can accommodate early or late pick-ups or deliver south of Thorndyke after Farm Day.

Before noon, you'll find us at the Laurel B. Johnson Community Center for the Carnival, a fundraiser for Jessica Becker's trip to Sierra Leone as a participant in Schools for Salone. There will be a raffle, and prizes include several coupons for Way Out Farmstead. We'll also be donating a dollar from every purchase today to this cause.

Come see us at the Carnival, support Jessica's good work, and cheer us on as Coodles the Way Out Rooster vies for the title of Coyle's Most Amazing Animal!

Good morning, world! The farm smells of blooming flowers, cut herbs and freshly mown grass, and the air is filled with birdsong. Goats and farmers alike ruminate contentedly as we go about our chews or chores as the case may be. It's a lovely day for Farm Day at Way Out!

Happy Solstice! Somehow, I don't think it'll be the longest day of the year as far as that big ball of energy in the sky is concerned... Our biggest solar input of the year thus far was on May 5th; that day we collected 3.8x yesterday's power. But it's not all that bad this week: On Tuesday, we got 89% of our May 5 total. There's hope for summer yet! ;-)

Join us this Saturday, 10 - 4 at Way Out Farmstead for an even-better-than-usual Farm Day! We'll be celebrating the Summer Solstice by sharing some farm-fresh appetizers: smoked pork slices, goat cream cheese & herb crostini, lavender mint shortbread cookies and home-roasted iced coffee.
