It has been such a busy summer! With hay season going late thanks to all the rain we had this spring. Then we were busy trying to keep the weeds at bay in the garden which was quickly followed by having to overcome my fear of my pressure canner that I bought in 2021 and *hopefully* canning enough green beans to last our family a year! We were just as surprised as the rest of the ladies in the pasture, when this healthy sweet baby girl greeted us! Black Betty is being the same old great seasoned mom she always is! We will see if there’s one more in the hours to come!

My beautiful Grandma Sasha used to make strawberry jam and on occasion my Granny Kathy sends me some of her wild Alaskan blueberry jam. My only wish is that granny lived closer and that I had cared enough about preserving food to have learned from Grandma Sasha while she was still here. The Bible doesn’t say much details about all we will or won’t be able to do in heaven, but I sure hope if she can see us that this first little batch of jam would make her proud! Pictured: Strawberry Rhubarb 🍓. Made with strawberries from a local farm and rhubarb from our own garden! My chickens unfortunately destroyed over half my strawberry plants last year. Contemplating building a bigger patch for next year and selling jams as another item our farm can offer! Curious if there would be any interest?

We love “pupdates” 💕. A pup from our last litter working on her forever farm! Pending Honey’s hip eval that we expect to go just fine, we will be working on making another one come beginning of 2026!

Shout out to my hubby who keeps working when it’s his off day from his 6-6 job, so that we can build our dream. 660 feet of fence that he spent the whole day on today. Thank you Lord for clear skies, good health, and this busy but wonderful life. ☀️🐑🐓

After much thought and prayer we are excited to say we are keeping this years ewes! We are so excited to be expanding our herd!
