Daddy Mack's Grub Shack Gourmet Smash Burgers! Often Imitated, NEVER Duplicated! It all started in 1989 with the Original Daddy Mack and the Grub Wagon.

The Grub Wagon was ahead of it's time as a premier concession operation that targeted large events and State Fair sized attendances. The Grub Wagon was started by Edward Mack Hammer as a dream turned into a working concept. It was basically a mobile sit down restaurant wherever it went. The western style food included BBQ of all kinds, Ribs, Chicken and Prime Rib just to name a few. The biggest th

ing about the Grub Wagon was that you could order anything as a full meal and feed your entire family! The Grub Wagon offered you and your family a unique option without the greasy fair or fast food choices. Daddy Mack's Grub Shack is bringing back that Grub Wagon concept on a smaller more mobile scale! In 2023 the Hammer family will once again be back bringing quality Western American foods and meal options to your family. Daddy Mack's Grub Shack will be centrally located in Charlottesville Virginia starting in April of 2023. We will be bringing Daddy Mack's Grub Shack out as well to festivals and events throughout Virginia this summer. We look forward to seeing you all very soon!
