The honey harvest this year was awesome! We got a little bit over 5 gallons off one hive, hopefully next year I don’t lose the queen from my second hive like I did this year. Still finishing bottling the honey and then will have it available to purchase.

Little update on the calves! They are growing nicely, especially with all the grass and milk they are consuming!

The honey supers were added onto the hive this week! Hopefully the bees do just as good as they did last year! 🐝🍯

Wednesday afternoon was a first at the farm. This heifer was in labor and we noticed the calf was not coming out correctly. We were able to get her in the head gate and had to pull the calf out which the calf came out backwards. The mom and calf are doing good.

Well, the bee adventure continues! Sadly, our bees didn’t make it through the winter this year which can happen with such a change temperatures. This year we decided to add an additional hive to the farm so hopefully we get lots of honey like last year!
