When papa verde started gardening he discovered he actually had a knack for it. A bumper crop of tomatoes, bell peppers, and jalapeno peppers left him wondering what to do with it all. After much consideration, salsa seemed the logical solution. The process of finding the right combination of ingredients and spices, establishing a cooking procedure and packaging began. After a season of trial and

error the final product was ready! So in 2013, our plans began to start making salsa BIG TIME for 2014. Early in the spring of 2014 we planted tomato seeds, over 200, that we had harvested from the 2013 crop. Construction also began on the PaPa Verde Canning Company building. Jumping through all the regulating bodies, FDA and local county health department and having PAPA take the Canning classes for acidified foods, we got the ok to sell! So here we are trying to help your family get the best garden fresh salsa they have ever had! We guarantee it!

While we can't tell you the secret recipe, we can tell you we use the freshest tomatoes, onions and green peppers! We also peel the tomatoes (EACH ONE) and chop up the onions and green peppers with a TON OF LOVE and cook them with our special spices in small batches to ensure the flavor is packed in each jar we make time and time again! It's hot, it's not for the wimps who can't take heat, it packs a full fresh PaPa Verde salsa flavor but it has a kick. As pictured the Trinidad scorpion is taking the mule by the reins and kicking up the heat, and IT'S HOT!

Happy Friday Afternoon! We would like to let you all know that we will not be at the Ozark, MO craft festival this weekend. Our apologies as this was a tough decision.
