Black Hereford Ranch is a progressive club calf producing and seedstock generating operation. Kris Black was a pioneer in the club calf producing business.

The countless champions and winning genetics, that he has produced is one for the history books. The ranch is located in far western Oklahoma near the Texas border. The headquarters sits just west of Roll, Oklahoma on highway 33. Annually there are two seedstock sales, dubbed THE CREAM OF THE CROP SALES. The June sale, concentrates on the operations elite female offerings and the fall sale offers

the best of the elite herd sires. Multiple steers sales are held each spring that feature the best prospects prospects produced by this operation and the operations raising Cream of the Crop genetics. We've sold 12 Grand & Res. Grande steers at Houston alone & we've had Grand & res Grand at FW, SA, Austin, OYE, Tulsa, Odessa, Rio Grand Valley 7 times, and the Dixie Nationals. The weekend is HERE which means we are just a few short days away from Black Hereford Ranch’s Cream of the Crop Show Steer & Bull Online Sale 2026 Round 2 Edition.

We've never had this many really good, highly competitive show steers this late in the season. The Herefords are as good as you'll find anywhere. We've sold Champions at every Major show in Texas and Oklahoma many times. We've even sold Herefords that were Res. Grand overall at Houston & Tulsa!
