🌟 Calling All Future Poultry Show Stars! 🌟

Do you have a child who is interested in showing chickens, or know a young person who dreams of stepping into the exhibition hall and want to learn from Master Breeders with the ASBC and ABA? We have something exciting coming just for them!

🎉 Beginning in August, Red Barn Silkies will be launching a FREE live educational series on our main page dedicated to youth in the poultry fancy!

Throughout the series, we’ll cover topics including:
🐔 Conditioning birds for the show ring
🛁 Proper bathing and grooming techniques
🏆 Cooping in and preparing at the show
🎤 Showmanship tips and confidence in the ring
💡 What judges are looking for
❤️ And so much more!

At Red Barn, we believe the future of the poultry fancy is our youth. Whether you’re just getting started or looking to sharpen your skills, we’re here to help encourage, educate, and support the next generation of exhibitors.

This series is completely FREE for all youth exhibitors. While everyone is welcome to watch and learn, we kindly ask that the live Q&A portion be reserved for kids and families who have youth interested in learning and participating in the fancy. We want to make sure our young exhibitors have every opportunity to ask questions and gain confidence.

📅 Stay tuned for our August kickoff date, and be sure to share this post with any family who has a young poultry enthusiast. Let’s help grow the next generation of passionate, knowledgeable exhibitors—together!

Changing mower blades. Usually easy enough. Not today. Tried with deck attached. Nope. Removed 52" very heavy deck. Propped up, PB Blaster, tap, etc. Impact, no. Breaker bar, no. 8' cheater on breaker bar, more PB Blaster. Still nothing. Torched bolt, washer.Still no.Torched again, then quenched with water. Still breaker, cheater but finally got them off. Made me very happy😊
