When we asked Lon to describe his music, here’s what he said “I play a form of finger-style, folk/country traditional which began in the Ozarks and traveled to Britain, where I ran into it in 1966. Leaving the USA and residing in London for 25 years, working as a music journalist for the music weekly RECORD MIRROR, I bet nearly all music celebrities, learning much from many and even more from the amazing folk clubs which existed from ‘66 to the late 80’s. Now back in America, and retired from journalism, I keep the acoustic music alive with original material and songs from the likes of Paul Simon, Bob Dylan, John Prine…” etc. Lon brings his incredible talent to High Note Winery this Thursday at 5:30.
