Alexandre Family Farm

Alexandre Family Farm We are America's first CERTIFIED REGENERATIVE dairy, producing A2/A2 Organic Dairy and Pastured Eggs. When it comes to grazing cows, we’re not new to it.

Where the redwoods meet the sea in northern California’s Humboldt and Del Norte Counties, we, Blake and Stephanie Alexandre, and our five children have poured our combined generations of dairy know-how into our farms. We are strong proponents of organic farming practices, nutrient-dense products, and environmental stewardship. In January 2021 we became the first CERTIFIED REGENERATIVE dairy in the

United States. In 1988, we started dairying in Southern California where Stephanie grew up, but Blake knew he wanted to get back to his beloved green pastures in Northern California. When the opportunity arose in 1992 to buy an existing operation in Del Norte County, just two hours north of the Alexandre home farm in Humboldt County, we seized it. We converted our dairy to 100% organic methods in the late 90’s, taking our love of farming to the next level. We are the 4th generation to farm on our Ferndale grazing dairy in Humboldt County. Knowing that organic production was the way of our grandfathers, this was a new/old way to farm. Today, we operate four grass-based organic dairies in Humboldt and Del Norte counties in Northern California, with 4,200 crossbred A2/A2 dairy cows on 4,300 acres of irrigated pasture. We grow the majority of our own hay on approximately 2,500 acres of organic cropland in Modoc County in the Northeastern part of California. While raising our five kids in a house just across the street from the dairy - each learning to drive tractors at age 6 - they quickly learned the way of the land. Today, our grown children are involved in the day-to-day functions on the farm, each with unique, bright passions for agriculture. We treasure this opportunity to run the farm alongside our growing family.

1 zucchini, chopped
1 red onion, sliced
1 red bell pepper, chopped
1 pint cherry tomatoes
1 can chickpeas, drained and dried
3 tablespoons olive oil
Juice of 1 lemon
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon sea salt
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 (8 oz.) container Alexandre Family Farm sour cream
1/2 cucumber, grated and squeezed dry of all access liquid

1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon sea salt
Black pepper to taste

4 cups cooked rice or orzo, for serving
Feta cheese, for serving
Parsley or dill, for serving

Method:
Preheat oven to 425°F. In a large bowl toss chicken, zucchini, onion, bell pepper, tomatoes, and chickpeas with olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, oregano, paprika, salt, cumin, and pepper. Spread evenly onto a large sheet pan lined with parchment paper. Roast for 25–30 minutes, stirring once halfway, until chicken is cooked through and vegetables are caramelized.

To make the sour cream sauce, mix all ingredients in a bowl until creamy. Chill while dinner cooks.

Pile everything onto bowls over rice or orzo. Spoon generously with the sour cream sauce. Finish with fresh feta, herbs, and extra lemon. Enjoy!

On this Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice secured the freedoms we cherish every day, and we are deeply grateful. 🇺🇸

At Alexandre Family Farm, we are reminded daily that freedom allows us to care for the land, steward our animals, raise our families, and produce nourishing food for others. Healthy pastures lead to happy cows, but it all begins with gratitude — for this land, this country, and those who gave everything to protect it.

Today, we remember the fallen and honor the legacy of courage, service, and sacrifice they left behind. ❤️🤍💙

Made with Alexandre Family Farm chocolate milk!

Ingredients:
2 cups Alexandre Family Farm chocolate milk
2 tbsp cocoa powder
2 tbsp maple syrup or honey (optional, for sweeter pops)
1 tbsp cornstarch
Pinch of sea salt
cup Alexandre Heavy Whipping Cream
1 tsp vanilla extract

Method:
In a saucepan, whisk together the chocolate milk, cocoa powder, maple syrup, cornstarch, and salt until smooth.
Place over medium heat and cook, whisking often, until the mixture thickens (about 4–6 minutes). This makes the popsicles creamy and thick instead of icy.
Remove from heat and stir in the heavy cream and vanilla extract. Let cool for 10–15 minutes.
Pour into popsicle molds and insert sticks. To release, run warm water over the outside of the mold.
