A big THANK YOU to Laura and the Smith family of Quincy for their generous donation of assorted hand tools, stakes, and t-posts. Dawn Institute is still recovering inventory and infrastructure following the losses in the Dixie Fire. These tools will allow more work to be done on the Dawn grounds and allow opportunities for volunteer workdays in the near future. The t-posts will be used to develop the new composting bays!

Kristy showed up strong at our first community meeting for the Emergency Food Access Plan — name badge and all! Seeing “East Side Pantry Girls” on that tag was more than exciting… it was a reminder that grassroots voices belong in these rooms.
