Busy day today as the garden is starting to come in. This is carrot curry relish. It is made with my carrots, cucumbers, peppers, jalapeños, onions with curry, ginger, honey and lime juice… so good! Also did sauerkraut with my husband today with our red cabbage. It is now in its crock fermenting.

The weather this summer has not been good to some of my girls fleeces 😫 It has either been very cool with high humidity or very hot with high humidity. My caramel girl Dixie Sue on the left has a fine fleece and she sweats so this year it matted on her quite a bit so shearing has begun.

I never like to shear just one since a sheared goat appears to be a new goat in the heard when you put them back in with everyone 🤷‍♀️ so her daughter Oakleigh was sheared too! Her fiber is always so lovely and this shearing is no exception.

So shearing g has begun and I will work my way through them as needed.
