It’s kinda cute when the goats complain of starvation while surrounded by food, when they’ve just decided it’s time to move the fence now. It’s less funny when they take matters into their own hands.

Note that the green, delicious brush is on the *inside* of their enclosure. They got moved every two weeks for years but the new rotation is three weeks. They can’t accept a third week. Since I was forgetting to water the ground rod, so they could pretty much do what they wanted.

Two sets of twins born on the same morning.
Farm life has kept ticking right along in spite of everything, and for that I am grateful. Maybe I’m wrong for expecting the world to be all sunshine and roses but as I keep saying, bless the sheep. Always there with a little hope for the future. One with sunshine and roses, perhaps. I think Rosie is a good name for my new little keeper ewe.

Rosie’s brother will be available as a ram at weaning. The two white lambs will be wethered, to become lawn mowers or model residents of your local freezer camp.

Either way, I got an awful lot. Hope they have enough tannins for a sheep skin or two.
