I have been dreaming about Phoenix chicken for a long long time now, and finally got the opportunity to have some eggs delivered to me from Texas!

These were on super discount special as they were in the last week of separation for clearing genes to start selling them at full cost as full bred for the season. Like the last day!
She also threw in a couple Yokohamas, another beautiful bird.

Both breeds are heritage breeds and known for their very very long tail feathers

Wish us luck on the hatch rate! We will check back in about a week after we candle for fertility. I’m so excited!

We are providing farm fresh eggs to Goshen Market for their breakfast sandwiches! This has been a work in progress…getting enough hens to sustain the amount of eggs they cook over there!

We almost exclusively hatch and raise them all ourselves to keep our bio security safe and minimize pests and diseases in our flocks. So it takes a little while to get from the idea to the hen laying full sized eggs!

On the occasion we need (ahem yes honey I said “need”) a new breed, we bring in hatching eggs instead of live birds.

It’s official! We have a display at Wagon Wheel Feed in Creswell. Stop by for all your livestock and pet needs, and grab some fresh baked bread and treats while you are there!

Today we have classic sourdough, jalapeño cheddar, pesto Parmesan, English muffins, roasted garlic and rosemary focaccia, and cinnamon rolls. Get there before it’s gone…those cinnamon rolls were getting grabbed up before the shelf was even full of breads.

Soon we will be offering our homemade sourdough bread and treats on a display shelf at both the Goshen Market, and Wagon Wheel Feed!

We are going to start delivering in both stores and keep it stocked with fresh deliciousness that you can just drop by and pick up on your way home!

What kind of products would you like to see available for last minute pick ups?

As always, you can message me to place any order to be picked up or dropped off with two days notice.

We do have a Domestic Kitchen Bakery license and work hard to provide food safe, clean, amazing products for our family and for yours. If you are ever dissatisfied, please let me know and we will replace or substitute at no cost.

We are now serving cinnamon rolls for sale at the Goshen Market, along with their delicious homemade breakfast sandwiches and biscuits and gravy!

Our first week has gone very well. People are loving them, and sending other people to come try them!

Drop by for a tasty sweet treat and/or a yummy breakfast sandwich. And stay tuned…they will be serving lunch items soon.

It is lockdown time for our first round in the incubator. Baby chicks coming soon! Black Copper Maran and BCM over blue and green egg layers.

The little ones are getting so excited. Last year our youngest, then two years old, called every egg he saw a baby. Even the ones for breakfast.😂

Can’t wait to see what the little cuties will look like! Message me if you want to get on the list for baby chicks (or guineas or turkeys hatching in the next week or two)

Our fertility rate is doing great!

We have a 97% fertility rate on our breeding pen of chicks, and 90% on our ducks. I’m so excited to see our hatch rate next!

The first picture is the one and only chicken egg that wasn’t developing on day 8.
The second is a chicken egg that is developing.
The third is a duck egg. I thought this one was cool because you can see the little duck and the spread of veins. So exciting!

It’s officially Guinea season now too!!
