I am taking a week off to get restocked and for some much needed R &R. I’ll be back on June 13 at the Beecher Farmers Market.

It’s National Cherry Dessert day. Try this easy recipe.

Cherry Coffee Cake
1 tube crescent sheet
I container whipped, cream cheese
3 tablespoons powdered sugar
Cherry jam.

Glaze
1 cup powdered sugar
1 tablespoon almond extract
Milk to thin

Open the crescent sheet and press to make a square. Mix cream cheese and powdered sugar and spread down the middle, leaving about 1 1/2 inches of crescent dough to fold over filling. Top cream cheese mixture with cherry jam. Make diagonal cuts about and inch apart on the edges. Fold edges over filling, alternating to form a braid. Cook according to the direction on the tube or until golden brown. Once cool, make the glaze and drizzle it over the top. Garnish with cherries and almond slices.
