Chicks chicks and more chicks. We hatched six (the first picture and the larger ones in the second). Went to the J & E farm swap this morning and have eight more. Olive Eggers (green eggs) and Black Copper Marans (dark brown eggs). Jenns cluckers are expanding❤️🐥

Sweet Pea gave birth to twins on January 20th. After a fun filled week in the basement away from the winter vortex to stay warm, everyone is back outside in the barn. We have two baby girls who are doing fabulous for their first week of life. Names will be coming soon but for now enjoy some pictures🐐🐐

A message from Jenn: with a heavy heart I’m sharing this information. Our sweet twin boys passed away at two days old. We don’t know exactly what happened but we’re assuming the biggest factor was the winter vortex. The feeling of defeat is the best descriptive word I can use to explain the experience. Please know that we did everything we possibly could to save those two sweet souls. With everything that happened with the boys, we decided to move our other mother down to the basement to keep her and her offspring warm during the vortex. I am trying my best to tell myself this was a learning experience and we did everything we could do to save them, that nature can be very unkind. Learning from these boys saved the others born this year, and that was a very rough lesson to learn. Just know our other kids from this year are doing well and I will share them with you all very soon. Lastly, I would like to give a shout out to my friend Cindy who answered all my questions and walked me through every step we had to take. Thank you so much for your help Cindy, it really does mean so much to me.

Well Momo, Murder Mittens, and Appa all got their rabies shot today! Very thankful for the rabies clinic today in Burkeville. We are all set for three years! Also a shout out to Jenn’s brother Joey for helping with transporting Appa so we made it there safely. 🐶🐱🐶
