Taking a pause to honor the powerful bonds that horses make. We ask them to navigate our human decisions and they will never understand but they always try so hard.
We said goodbye to our Thoroughbred duo this morning, Maggie and Ashley, so they can go home to be closer to their people who love them very much. 🩷
The saddest part was when Maggie and Ashley were crying on the trailer before it pulled away, and Hera and Whisper were frantically searching for them.
It’s never easy to lose herd members. That’s why we try so hard to get horses here that will stay long term. We understand life happens and things change, but as much as possible, we never want to break up a herd.
Horses form powerful bonds. Their herds are their safety. Their family. In the wild, their herd is their survival.
If only we people gave as much honor and respect to our human to human relationships, what would change? 💕 Just a little reminder no one is meant to do life alone.
Please reach out to us if you’re looking for a boarding space for a mare or gelding. We prioritize horses that need a dirt lot or track to stay healthy. 🙂 Our layout may not be the best for every horse and owner but the ones that are here right now are thriving.
