Here we go around the circle again. It’s hard to keep going in the face of it all. And as insignificant as they may seem, there’s hope in restoring those patches of this Mother Earth under our care. It may not seem like much… but if millions of us did this work, it sure as hell restores a lot more hope than electric cars or recycling plastic.
So give what you can back to her. Restore her native plant communities, her clothing of choice, her sovereignty.
Build an Ark, not a garden. Set her free from the chains of colonisation we have imposed upon her, patch by patch
It’s up to us.

Focus on the piece of the planet under your care.
We can only help our own patch. Share it with the forgotten ones.
It may not seem like much in the face of the greed and destruction we are facing into once again. However, if millions of us all do this work, then we are starting a fire of hope that cannot be quenched.

MU Extension and the MU Central Missouri Research, Extension and Education Center are proud to host Dr. Temple Grandin on Tuesday, June 25. She will present "The Grandin Papers: Over 50 Years of Research on Animal Behavior and Welfare That Improved the Livestock Industry" from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., at the MU Beef Research and Teaching Farm (South Farm).

Dr. Grandin, author, speaker and professor of animal sciences at Colorado State University, is famous for her groundbreaking approach to decoding animal behavior.

MU Extension - Agriculture and Environment Program

Jojo is living his best life after being turned out with the big horses to graze. We ran out of hay earlier than expected and so continuing to dry lot him wasn’t the most financially sound option. It also worked out that the momma goats had the pen to themselves for kidding season. He comes up everyday to check things out.

My priorities are shifting a bit soon and I’ll be repairing that fence he stands behind and getting started on a loafing shed close by this area for the horses. A long overdue project.
