Show us inspiration for movable chicken tractors… ready… set… go!

Before starting meat birds (probably 2027) I need to get the ball rolling on building a chicken tractor for them! Let me see your designs and inspiration please. I think we’re looking for something that would hold 30-50 birds comfortably just so we have the size for expansion.

I have between 10-12 used Midwest Wabbitats that I would like to sell THIS WEEK! These are the 25” long ones (as seen in the photo).

I am asking $35 EACH or if you want four of them I will take $125 TOTAL!

I also have metal no cut J-Feeders that I can put with them for an extra $8 extra per small no cut j-feeder OR no cut j feeders can be purchased separately for $9/each for a small or $12 for the large. I have two large and I believe 10 small!

For an even better deal, I can make a bundle of four wabbitats AND four small no cut metal J-feeders for $150! This deal will only run through THURSDAY 6/25/2026 so get it while you can! Pickup will be Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday this week either in Cromwell OR it can be transported to Shawnee on Tuesday, OKC/Tuttle/Norman on Wednesday OR OKC/Edmond on Thursday!

Winner winner chicken dinner…

In the future that is. Scored some pre started meat birds today at TSC. They’re two weeks old already which means we have about 6 weeks left to grow!

Jokes… they don’t actually have names but they will be raised ethically and given the best life with one bad minute. These are meat birds, they cannot ethically be kept as pets. Their legs will break under them (unless you starve them). Please do not buy Cornish cross and try to keep them, you are not “saving” a bird, they will suffer in one way or another.

Best product for the farm by far…

Premier 1 Poultry Netting!!! This has been the best solution at the start to keep my goats, pigs, and poultry safe and protected. They figured it out QUICK and has allowed us to start getting our tall grass cleared and made a movable area for our goats to run and graze. We currently have TWO of these sets as well as the quick gate but definitely plan to invest in more!

Lovely night of relaxing and fiber blending.

This blend is about 80% White French Angora and 20% Broken Blue Satin Angora given by our old lady French Angora Taco Cabanna and the sweet satin girl Blueberry Pancake. I didn’t measure so I don’t know exact amounts but I love how it turned out! This natural fiber blended beautifully together and will make a nice winter hat. 🩷

I call this one “Blueberry Taco” but I will soon add to it and it will be “Blueberry Taco Fantasy” since I ran out of Taco’s fiber and plan to add Fantasy’s beautiful wool to it as well.
