We've spent the last couple of DAYS programming and calibrating equipment.
We're just 🤏 so close and I am happy to say that the last of the install is DONE!
Next steps are washing and testing.
And then inspections and permits! 😲🫣

🌅Every morning I walk up to the dairy to work. And every day I am amazed at what God has given us.
Today my view made me so excited to see it! The fences are going back up which means it's almost done!
Getting to watch it all come together and knowing were in the final days of construction is a bit overwhelming at times.
God has blessed us so very much and I can't wait to share everything with you!🤗🐮😍

📝I've spent the last few days reviewing final to do lists because we are so close to processing milk!
✅️My lab certifications are done.
✅️Equipment is being cleaned and run through final tests.
✅️Chart recorders are installed and working.
✅️The parlor is finished up and ready to milk cows.
✅️I spent today reviewing our labels and SOPs with the milk inspector.
👷‍♂️The to do list is down to less than 1 page!
🗓We're counting down the days until the milk inspectors will be coming out to get us approved!
So so close!🤗

A few days ago, I brought Ruth up to the close up pen so we could watch her.
Last night I saw all the signs of calving. I went down early this morning with very little changes and she was acting fine.
Mid morning check she was the same.
I knew better than to miss the afternoon check. But Jonathan said she was fine at about 1:30.
At 6, she was not fine.
This big boy was stuck. Like really stuck.
Thankfully he was presenting properly.
It took all Craig had to wiggle the rest of his head out.
Then his shoulders.
And then we rested.
Then it was time for the back hips and they were just as much of a struggle.
Ruth collapsed to the side and we all had the same reaction. 🥵 He's big. But he's out.
