Zack and David are in our usual spot and they have chicken sausage! They have our seasonal special flavor, Spring Dumpling, pictured here as a stir fry with wild foraged mushrooms, kohlrabi, scallions, and rice. The sausage itself is full of flavor, with four kinds of pepper, tamari, scallions, chives, ginger, garlic .... so many yummy things.

Hey members: many of you asked what to do with kohlrabi, and I replied, "eat it raw!" Here I am peeling one and cutting it up, to eat as a snack while I make dinner. I'd already cut the leaves off, because I was going to sautee those for dinner. We just snacked on the raw slices while everything else cooked. That's all I want when it comes to kohlrabi! What are you doing with yours?

I always get great recommendations when I'm in there. Parties, fancy and specific meals, or everyday drinks like this hay little box of white. Get your wine, cider, soju, sake here! They source from little guys like me, from producers who know their soil and their terrain and their plants and care about the process.

All are welcome. Bring a dish to share, bring a plate and fork if you think of it, bring good cheer or a heart willing to attempt it at least.
We'll be set up outside in the garden, so I'd bring a long sleeved shirt, too, in case you stay late enough for mosquitoes to be out.

If you have mobility concerns, let me know - we can get you a parking spot much closer than the usual ones, if we plan ahead.
No need to rsvp, potlucks are a time to help me live in the moment rather than plan ahead.

It's been awhile since I talked about the farm store! Ready for a long informational post?
1. We have a self serve store at the farm that is open every day of the year, 8 am to 7 pm. Self serve means we trust you to do your own math, and pay via cash/check/venmo.
2. We have our veggies for sale. Right now, we have lettuce, baby greens, spinach, chard, rhubarb, frisee, bok choy, pea shoots, dill, cilantro - but the offerings change weekly
3. We have our chicken for sale: whole, parts, and, coming back 6/5, house made chicken sausage. Our spring dumpling flavor will premier then.
4. We have some other meats for sale - our turkey, lamb, and pork, and ground beef.
5. We have honey and maple syrup and lotion, all from extremely local producers among them. We also have these great stickers made by former apprentice
6. Cash check venmo! Come any time! Make sure freezers, fridges, doors are closed behind you, and do your best to add correctly. We are thrilled to feed the community!

All my NYS people: I hope you all voted on your school budget, and for your school board! Actually, I hope you all voted YES on your school budget! I have never known a set of administrators and school board to phone it in when making the budget. They're all trying very hard, as a group, to make good decisions for students and teachers. It's a hard job, I don't want it, and I'm glad they're doing it!
