🇺🇸 I’m Running for South Carolina State House — District 14

After much prayer, conversations with family, and encouragement from many in our community, I am announcing my candidacy for the South Carolina House of Representatives, District 14.

Laurens County is my home. As a farmer and longtime resident, I see every day both the strength of our community and the challenges we face — from deteriorating roads and rising costs to concerns about education, public safety, and protecting our values.

I am running because District 14 deserves a strong, principled voice in Columbia — someone who will put people ahead of politics and common sense ahead of bureaucracy.

My life has been shaped by hard work and perseverance. I was once a struggling student who worked his way through college to earn both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Marine Biology, later serving as an instructor at St. Leo College. I have spent years involved in our local community and in agriculture, listening to the concerns of families, business owners, and seniors across our county.

Over the next few months, my goal is simple: to meet as many of you as possible — to have real conversations, hear your concerns, and learn what matters most to your family and your community so that when I go to Columbia, I will truly represent you.

I am committed to:
✔️ Protecting our constitutional freedoms
✔️ Supporting families and the sanctity of life
✔️ Strengthening education with parents at the center
✔️ Fixing our roads and infrastructure
✔️ Ensuring government is accountable to the people

This campaign is not about titles — it is about service.

Laurens County has always been strongest when neighbors look out for one another and stand together for what is right. I am running to serve you, to protect what makes this community special, and to help build a future our children will be proud to inherit.

I would be honored to earn your support, your prayers, and your vote.

Exciting news on the farm🚜!

We’re happy to finally introduce NutraPellets — a natural feed supplement made from Sericea Lespedeza hay.

NutraPellets are designed to support sheep and goat health naturally, with research showing lespedeza can reduce internal parasites and improve overall condition. Each Pellet is made from pure lespedeza — no additives or fillers, just the benefits of a proven forage in an easy-to-feed form.

NutraPellets will be available soon, for now we’re excited to officially launch this new chapter for us in livestock nutrition. 🐐🐑

Our Story - Returning to the Land

Stony Creeks Farm is a farm in the Upstate of South Carolina. Located in Laurens County, the farm sits on 1400+ acres of rolling hills, shaded creeks and a view of beautiful Lake Greenwood.

The land has been managed for timber for more than 80 years. Prior to that time it was a farm of row crops and cattle. Today, the land is being returned to acctively managed and productive crops of specialty hay (Lespedeza sericea and Vaughn’s #1 bermuda grass) and Chinese chestnut trees. Timber remains an important crop as well.

Lespedeza hay is very popular with farmers raising goats and sheep. This hay is known known to help in control of gastrointestinal parasites in goats and sheep. Our lespedeza hay is premium quality hay, fertilized and tested (both soil and hay), and baled by experienced farmers at the optimal time to minimize leaf shedding. We use no till drilling to maintain the quality of the biological organisms in the soil and we plant cover crops to promote soil health during the winter months when hay is dormant.

Our sqaure bales are solid and kept in dry storage prior to sale. If you haven’t tried lespedeza for your herd, you should. Contact Rick Shealy at 803-260-6502.
