In late February, Tom and I hauled a beef in for processing. I asked our butcher for marrow and knuckle bones to make bone broth. I also asked for suet and fat to make tallow for cooking and for lotion/balm.
We made the broth and rendered the tallow in March. We love cooking with the tallow. And today, I finally used the suet tallow to whip up some tallow lotion! Next up will be tallow lip balm!
