As we continue celebrating our 10-Year Anniversary this month, we want to recognize the people who have helped make Chick-fil-A Cross Roads what it is today. Today, we are celebrating our Owner/Operator, Shawn, and his wife, Angela!

Shawn and Angela both began their Chick-fil-A journeys as teenagers! Over 25 years ago, Shawn started working for Operator Mike Homes in Peachtree City, Georgia. After 11 years serving alongside Mike, Shawn joined Chick-fil-A corporate as an Interim Manager before becoming the Owner/Operator of the Chick-fil-A in the Mall of Abilene in 2014.

Angela’s Chick-fil-A journey began over 22 years ago, when she joined the same Operator’s team at just 15 years old! During her senior year in college, she began working at Chick-fil-A’s corporate office for multiple years, before eventually transitioning to support Shawn in the restaurant.

In 2016, Shawn and Angela opened Chick-fil-A Cross Roads, beginning a journey that has brought countless memories, meaningful relationships, and opportunities to serve the community they love.

As we celebrate 10 years, we are thankful for Shawn and Angela - and they are especially thankful for our incredible Team Members, wonderful guests, and the community that has welcomed and supported Cross Roads Chick-fil-A through the years.

As we continue celebrating our 10-Year Anniversary this month, we want to recognize some of the incredible leaders who have been with us since the beginning. Today, we’re celebrating Lauren!

Lauren’s journey with Chick-fil-A Cross Roads began nearly 10 years ago, shortly after our official grand opening, when she joined our team as a 16 year old Team Member! Since then, we have had the privilege of watching her grow and develop into the incredible leader she is today.

Lauren currently serves as one of our Senior Directors, overseeing our marketing efforts and our Trainer Program. Over the years, she has also had the opportunity to travel across the country as part of Chick-fil-A’s Field Talent Staff, helping open several new Chick-fil-A restaurants and training their teams to serve guests with excellence from day one!

We have watched Lauren mature, develop her leadership abilities, and accomplish so much over the past decade. We’ve even had the joy of watching her meet and marry her husband, Hugo, whom she met while working at Chick-fil-A Cross Roads!

Now, Lauren is a part of our Operator Development Program and is working toward her goal of one day becoming a Chick-fil-A Owner/Operator herself. We couldn’t be more proud of the leader she has become and are excited to see where this next chapter takes her!

We are incredibly thankful for Lauren, her dedication to our team, and the countless ways she has helped Chick-fil-A Cross Roads grow and improve over the past 10 years.

As we continue celebrating our 10-Year Anniversary this month, we want to recognize some of the incredible leaders who have been with us since the very beginning. Today, we’re celebrating Iris!

Iris serves as our Food Prep Leader and has been an important part of Chick-fil-A Cross Roads since we opened our doors. She comes in bright and early each morning to make sure our fresh salads, fruit cups, parfaits, wraps, and other prep items are made with care and ready to serve our guests.

In fact, when you enjoy a salad, parfait, or fruit cup that is made fresh and just right, there’s a good chance Iris made it herself - or it was prepared by someone she directly trained! Her attention to detail and commitment to doing things the right way have helped set the standard for our prep team for the past 10 years.

Chick-fil-A Cross Roads has also become a family affair for Iris - her husband, Jorge, joined our team shortly after she did and has faithfully helped care for our restaurant, facilities, and equipment ever since.

We are incredibly thankful for Iris, the standard of excellence she brings each day, and the countless ways she has served our guests and our team over the past 10 years.

As we continue celebrating our 10-Year Anniversary this month, we want to recognize some of the incredible leaders who have been with us since the very beginning. Today, we’re celebrating Jackie!

Jackie has been an important part of Chick-fil-A Cross Roads since the day we first opened our doors! In fact, she was part of our very first meeting with new and potential leaders, held outside on the patio on a chilly fall evening nearly 10 years ago. From those early days until today, Jackie has continued to play a huge role in helping our restaurant grow and improve.

Today, Jackie serves as a Senior Director, overseeing our daytime operations throughout the week. She’s one of the first faces at our restaurant each morning, making sure we are ready to welcome guests with fresh food, hot coffee, and a warm smile. Over the years, she has been instrumental in building our drive-thru operations, keeping our team running smoothly, and upholding the high standards we are proud of at Chick-fil-A Cross Roads. She even makes sure our team looks sharp by overseeing our uniforms!

Jackie’s dedication, consistency, and commitment to excellence have made a lasting impact on our restaurant and the people around her. We are incredibly thankful for her leadership, her hard work, and the countless ways she has helped make Chick-fil-A Cross Roads what it is today.

As we continue celebrating our 10-Year Anniversary this month, we want to recognize some of the incredible leaders who have been with us since the very beginning. Today, we’re celebrating Jennifer!

Jennifer serves as our Community Brand Director and has played a huge role in connecting Chick-fil-A Cross Roads with the community we love. From local parades, community events, Spirit Days and other school partnerships, donations and other fundraising opportunities, Jennifer helps make sure we are there to support and serve the people around us.

Jennifer also serves in a similar capacity the Chick-fil-A on Loop 288 in Denton, giving her the opportunity to build relationships and make an impact throughout the greater Denton area.

Over the past 10 years, Jennifer has helped us build relationships with countless schools, organizations, and families. We are incredibly thankful for her heart for people, her commitment to our community, and everything she continues to do to help Chick-fil-A Cross Roads make a difference beyond the walls of our restaurant.

As we continue celebrating our 10-Year Anniversary this month, we want to recognize some of the incredible people who have been with us since the very beginning. Today, we’re celebrating Krystel!

Krystel’s journey with us began before our Cross Roads location even opened. After moving from the Philippines in 2014, she began working alongside Shawn and Angela at the Chick-fil-A in the Mall of Abilene. When Shawn and Angela made the move to open Chick-fil-A Cross Roads in 2016, Krystel came along for the journey—and 10 years later, she is still an important part of our team!

Over the years, Krystel has served our restaurant in so many different ways. She has worked in both the Front of House and Back of House, helped bring a little extra fun and creativity to our restaurant by decorating our entryway and playground for each season, and even shared her talents through face painting at events like Trunk or Treat and our Stuffed Animal Sleepover.

Krystel brings a fun, creative spirit to our restaurant and is always willing to jump in and help wherever she is needed. We are incredibly thankful for her hard work, her loyalty, and everything she has contributed to Chick-fil-A Cross Roads over the past 10 years.

As we celebrate our 10-Year Anniversary this month, we want to recognize some of the incredible leaders who have been with us since the very beginning. Today, we’re celebrating Christina!

Christina’s Chick-fil-A journey began long before our Cross Roads location even opened. She first worked alongside our Operator, Shawn, while he was leading the Chick-fil-A in the Mall of Abilene. When Shawn and Angela learned they had been selected for the Cross Roads location, Christina came along for the journey - and 10 years later, she is still an incredibly important part of our team.

Today, Christina serves as our Executive Director of Operations, helping lead our restaurant, serve wherever the need is, and develop the Team Members and other leaders who make our restaurant special. Over the years, she has invested countless hours, tremendous energy, and so much of herself into our business and our team. Her commitment to serving others, developing leaders, and helping our restaurant grow has made a lasting impact on Chick-fil-A Cross Roads.

We are incredibly thankful for Christina, for the leader she is, and for everything she has poured into our team over the past 10 years. We wouldn’t be who we are today without her!
