nd of the market without losing our foundation in which we raise our cattle. You can always expect our cattle to carry structural soundness but other necessary assets such as udder quality, fertility, calving ease, longevity, growth, docility, and carcass traits. With a strict culling strategy we have been able to breed some of the finest high performing Simmental genetics in this part of the nation.

Two new EPD, Mature Weight (MW) and Cow Energy Requirements (CER), are now live in Herdbook. These EPD provide breeders with practical tools to better manage cow size, efficiency, and long-term profitability. As selection for growth has increased mature cow weights over time, MW and CER allow producers to maintain performance while aligning mature size and energy requirements with their environment and resources. Together, they support more balanced, economically informed selection decisions.
