Arizona, you were everything I didn’t know I needed. ✨
Last weekend I flew out to meet one of my best friends and favorite travel buddy, , and finally got to meet her wonderful husband (), adorable son, and sweet pup. They opened their home to me and gave me the warmest welcome into my first-ever Arizona adventure.
We kicked things off with an incredible dinner at and a visit to Bookstore (which I could’ve spent hours in). The next morning, Julia and I road-tripped to Flagstaff - the cutest mountain town - where we ate delicious pizza at before heading to the Grand Canyon. I’m embarrassed to admit it was my first time there (how have I never been??), but watching both the sunset and sunrise over the canyon felt absolutely magical.
From there we drove down into Sedona, with its red rock cliffs and artsy charm. Between patio dining and a little shopping, we hiked near Coffeepot Mountain with , where we stopped to do yoga overlooking the valley while learning about the “vortex” energy Sedona is known for. The next morning we hiked Bell Rock, then headed back toward Phoenix for one of the most special dining experiences I’ve ever had - an dinner at Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin West, featuring Chef of . The oxtail with fresh tortillas and fig butter cake were unforgettable.
We wrapped up the trip exploring the (because I’m officially obsessed with cactus now) and enjoying one last, perfect lunch at .
It was such a joy to reconnect with a dear friend and see a state this beautiful. Arizona, you completely stole my heart. Now the real question… where should Julia and I go next? ❤️
