Today my son and I watched a baby honeybee be born! Her little antennas caught my eyes as we were racing to find the queen. I make it a game and told Henry what was happening on my side of the frame and he wanted to watch it. We stood there like a bunch of kids and narrated what they were all saying and watched her chew her little self out. One of the amazing things was watching all her little sister bees come running to help her. They feed her a little snack on her way out or she could starve to death before she hatches out!!! They’re just the sweetest.
After a few minutes, she made it completely out. I was feeling sappy and I promise y’all, if I’m not sitting here, that little girl cleaned herself up with her legs and gave us a full on hair flip straight off a shampoo commercial! 🤣

I didn’t get the perfect picture of it all but it seems that is how it always goes. Those kind turn out to be some of my favorite memories. And to think, God tucked love even into the smallest corners of the world.

I just love honeybees.

Did y’all’s mama or granny ever tell you the old wives’ tale that if a bird poops on you, it’s good luck and money is headed your way?

Well, yesterday I put my flowers in these cute little purses for Picnic in the Park, and got all set up under a nice big shade tree.

I was actually commenting on how pretty the park was and how pretty the tree was and literally a bird pooped on my elbow! It’s like my brain was trying to figure out: what was that noise, what’s warm, ewww and if it was real life!?! As I was standing there and looked down at elbow, my Henry, who was sitting next to me was wiping his face and shirt off! It hit me and splattered onto him! We died! 🤣🤣

The irony of it all had us tickled to death.

I’d say Granny might’ve know what she was talking about. 🌸👜💸

Thank y’all for another wonderful day at our farm stand and Picnic in the Park! The purses were a hit and we have more of them to come .. we’re just gonna let the rain pass for a few days and we will bring them out again!

We enjoyed meeting some of you, getting to know others a little better and most of all making you smile! ❤️💐

We’ll be in Geraldine at ‘Picnic in the Park’ this Saturday June 6th with some sweet little blooms from the farm!

In a world where so much is shipped from far away, there’s something special about supporting local food and small businesses rooted in our own community.

As we celebrate 250 years of America, it feels fitting to celebrate something else local too- flowers grown right here in DeKalb County. Did y’all know 4 out of every 5 flowers sold in the U.S. are imported!?! Yeees… they travel thousands of miles before reaching a vase. Ours were cut just miles from where they’ll be enjoyed and there ain’t nothing like fresh flowers.. trust me! 😉

Stop by, grab a bouquet, enjoy the music, and stay for the fireworks. Thank you for helping local farms and small businesses continue to bloom.

I can’t wait to see everyone at the park! ❤️🤍💙
