I can hardly believe I’m finally writing this: the new Avodah Family Farm store is open!
After months of raising chickens, moving shelters every day, hauling feed, working through setbacks, and trying to build this farm the right way, the new Avodah Family Farm store is finally open!
I’ll be honest—we are excited, thankful, and a little nervous...
Right now, we have five large freezers packed full of chicken, and another 200 birds are coming back from processing on Wednesday. That is a tremendous amount of food and a tremendous responsibility for our family. We need to get it out of our freezers and into the homes of families who will truly value it!
That is why we built the new website.
You can order exactly what your family wants—whole chickens, breasts, thighs, drumsticks, wings, and broth-making pieces. You can place a simple one-time order, use our Chicken Plan Calculator, stock your freezer for several months, or choose recurring orders if that makes life easier.
There is no subscription required.
Our young laying hens have also begun giving us their first eggs! They are still petite pullet eggs right now, but they have the same beautiful yolks and wholesome flavor as the larger eggs that will come as the hens mature. We are offering them temporarily starting at $4 per dozen, washed.
Orders can be picked up at our Crown Point pickup spot. We also now offer free Saturday home delivery on orders of $250 or more within our local delivery area.

These chickens are not simply inventory to us.
We remember the early mornings, the storms, the daily shelter moves, and the work behind every package. We believe God has entrusted this land, these animals, and this calling to our family, and we want to steward all of it faithfully.
If you have been waiting to try our chicken, now would mean more to us than you probably realize.
And even if you cannot order today, sharing our farm with a local friend would be an enormous help.
Thank you for following our family, encouraging us, and giving us the opportunity to help feed yours.
With gratitude,
Chelsey & Jotam
