Our taste travels in Brescia got us thinking about the amazing Brescian breakfast crostata, a traditional Italian jam tart with a buttery, pastry crust (pasta frolla). Nearly every region has its own signature variation. An authentic Italian crostata relies on the pure concentrated taste of artisan preserves (confettura) rather than on overly sweet jellies. Made with a high percentage of real fruit for a vibrant color and thick texture.
