For those good good people in our life!

Let’s talk yellow squash.

We don’t like it. I know! 😮

BUT we CAN grow it.

I found two great ways to prepare it that I actually can’t get enough of. I’m eating the leftovers right now, so the reason for this post.

1. Sauté in a pan and coat with taco seasoning. Add to a taco bowl (black beans, corn, tomatoes, rice) salsa, sour cream and anything else you like! YUM!

2. Use up some of that summer basil with this one!

These healthy grilled summer squash planks are so flavorful, with charred smoky edges and a tender bite. Brushed with basil vinaigrette!

We haven’t been a very good farm page lately. Sorry for the lack of updates. It’s very busy with the animals, work and kids while still trying to really enjoy the finer summer things!

Here are a few quick updates:

🐐: I have officially transitioned to all mini Nubians. I may have got… (3, hiding face) goats this year. A doe in milk, a breeding buckling and a doeling. They are SWEET

🐑: We have sold all of our lambs that were available

🐓: We have also sold all of our pullets we raised 🎉

🐣: Meat chicks come in 2 weeks. Reach out if you’re interested in buying chicks or a few whole chickens. We are looking to sell some of both but numbers are limited.
