We’ve got a fun day planned! Check out the schedule below and make sure you don’t miss a moment!

10AM | Gates Open for Tailgating
Kick off the day with festive tailgating fun! Reserved spots are sold out, but don’t worry - the vast majority of our field is first-come, first-served parking. Arrive before ten to get in line to snag a prime spot!

All Day | Trunk-or-Treating
While not required, feel free to join in on trunk-or-treating for the kiddos! Want to join the fun? Decorate your vehicle and tailgate setup in full Halloween style. The winner of “Best Setup” will earn a reserved polo tent space at one of next season’s matches!

12PM | Pony Parade
Watch our polo ponies and Roseland Polo club members show off their costumes on the field!

1PM | Costume Contests for All
Time to show off your costumes! When the announcer calls, head to the center of the field to enter the costume contests. We’ll have categories for kids and adults! Awards will be given to Best Overall, Spookiest (please be aware this is a family-friendly event), Most Creative, and Best Group!

2PM | Final Field Polo Match of the Season
Our players will take the field in costume for a fun-filled match. Come cheer them on and see who dressed to impress!

We can’t wait to see everyone at Poloween - it’s going to be a hauntingly good time!

Sunday polo hits a little differently in the fall. Come enjoy the cooler weather with us fieldside!

The season is winding down, so make the most of one of our final Sundays! With Poloween coming up next weekend and just one more Sunday of polo after that, you won’t want to miss out.

Grab your friends, pack your tailgate essentials, and join us for an afternoon of polo, your favorite King Family pours, and beautiful fall weather!

Gates open at 10AM, with matches at 12PM and 2PM.

Our first season with wildflowers has been a learning experience, and while the early-season drought kept the blooms from filling in quite as much as we’d hoped, we’re already looking forward to what next year brings.

But before the first frost takes these beauties away for the season, we’d love to share them with you!

Come out to the vineyard this weekend, enjoy the fall weather, and take home a few wildflowers of your own. We’ve mowed a path to help you get in and out, but you’re welcome to wander farther into the thicket. We recommend long pants and a good pair of boots if you plan to venture in.

A few things to know:
- Free to pick! Blooms are available while they last, so first come, first served.

- Bring your own supplies. Please bring your own snippers and vessels to hold your flowers, we will not have any tools available.

- Dress for the field. Long pants and boots are your best bet if you plan to explore beyond the mowed path.

Consider it a little end-of-season gift from the farm to you! We hope to see you out here this weekend!

Step inside our production facility for an evening that brings together the best of a barrel tasting experience and a dinner party, with w**es pulled straight from the tanks and barrels, Italian-inspired food stations from our friends at Luce Pasta, and a vinyl DJ setting the vibes for the night.

Move from tank room to barrel room, taste w**es where they’re made, meet the team behind the bottles, and hear the stories behind this year’s vintage. It’s a rare chance to experience King Family Vineyards from the inside out, with great w**e, incredible food, and a little music to keep the evening going.

With an intimate setting and limited space available, tickets must be purchased by Thursday, October 15. We hope you’ll join us for a night unlike any other!

With rain in the forecast for Sunday, we’re moving polo up to Saturday, October 10th!

Same favorite Sunday pastime, just a day early - and with a long weekend ahead, you’ve got one more reason to make a day of it. Polo season is winding down, and we don’t want you to miss a chance to soak up these beautiful fall afternoons on the farm. So grab your crew, bring your tailgate setup, and enjoy an afternoon of polo and Virginia w**e while we’ve still got it!

A little magic is coming to the polo field ✨ Tickets are required and limited!

Join us Sunday evening, November 1st, for Balloon Glow with Monticello Country Ballooning

Beginning at 6PM, four hot air balloons will take to the sky above the field, glowing against the Blue Ridge Mountains as the sun goes down.

Bring your friends and family, grab a glass of King Family w**e, and settle in for an evening with food trucks, mountain views, and four massive balloons lighting up the sky.

Tickets are sold by the vehicle, so gather your crew and make an evening of it!

October has always been a month worth celebrating for us.

It marks the anniversary of our tasting room opening, the beginning of Virginia W**e Month, Matthieu’s birthday, and, every year, the release of a new vintage of our Brut Vintage.

This year, we’re excited to pop the cork on our 2018 Brut Vintage. Crafted in the traditional method from early-harvested Chardonnay, this stunner spent nine months aging in French oak before a secondary fermentation in bottle and six year resting on its lees.

Bright green apple and lemon zest lead the way, followed by warm toast and sweet spice. Fresh and lively up front, rich and textured through the finish.

Aged with patience and made to celebrate. Enjoy, friends! 🥂

Our tasting room will still be open for regular hours from 10AM - 5:30PM, so come enjoy our indoor spaces and your favorite pours!

“We appreciate your time, but we’re not interested.”

That was David King’s answer in 1997, when a stranger knocked on their door hoping to lease ten acres of the farm they had just purchased to grow grapes and make w**e.

One year later, the first vines went in. On October 1, 2002, the tasting room doors opened for the very first time.

Now 24 years later, what began with a farm, a few acres of vines, and a lot of uncertainty has grown into a w**ery, tasting room, polo field, and gathering place for guests from around the corner and around the world.

David and Ellen built this place with hard work, an incredible team, and a little help from the weather. They also taught their sons that for all the work that goes into a bottle of w**e, it’s the people who share it with us who make this place special.

To everyone who has visited, raised a glass, brought a friend, joined us for polo, or simply spent an afternoon here, thank you. You’re one of the biggest parts of our story.

Here’s to 24 years, and to everything still ahead.
