I cannot begin to tell you how much I admire Anna and Ricky!! They are such a blessing to our mountain community. When I have the opportunity to have conversations with them about any growing anything it humbles me and provides me with great inspiration to continue growing my little farm business. We will always continue to support our local growers here in the high country!! What a beautiful article !!

August is shaping up to be quite water logged (6 big beans, driveway washing out (thanks DOT for the help) and hit another deer in the truck 🫠 ....the rainbows are stunning though this time of year...looking on the bright side !!

Recent rains in Grassy Creek have made the cucumber and half runner vines happy (farmers too). I’ll have plenty of cukes, beans, green onions and potatoes at the Ashe County Farmers Market in West Jefferson this Saturday August 8. Tomato vines are also happy but the fruit’s just not ripe yet. Hope you’re able to make it to your local market this weekend and visit with a farmer.
