Update on Rocko 🐾

Rocko showed us something really special today — with the right people, he can learn to trust and love men just as much as women ❤️

He met Justin for the very first time and surprised us all by wanting to give him all the love. This is a huge step forward for Rocko and truly shows his potential in the right home.

Rocko is an amazing boy who just needs someone willing to give him patience, guidance, and continued training. In return, he will give you his whole heart.

Meet Rocko — still searching for his forever home 🐾

Rocco is a 1-year-old neutered male who is up to date on all vaccinations and ready to find his perfect match. He walks well on a leash, loves the water, and is truly such a good boy. He’s incredibly affectionate and will happily cuddle and shower you with kisses — he’s the definition of a loyal, loving companion.

Rocco does have a few things he’s working through. He can be unsure around men, but with time, patience, and the right home, he has shown he can make great progress. He would thrive best as the only dog, but with the right person and proper introductions, he may do well with a female dog his size or larger.

Because of his needs, Rocco would do best in a home without children.

Rocco would absolutely thrive with someone willing to put in the time to work with him and continue his training — the right dog momma for this boy will be rewarded with the most loyal, loving best friend.

We know his “perfect home” might be specific, but we truly believe the right person is out there — and they’ll be gaining an incredible companion.

Meet Roscoe, our newest foster!

Roscoe is a 9-year-old male Beagle and a sweet senior boy looking for the perfect forever home. He was originally going to live out his retirement here at the rescue, but we have realized that the environment is just a little too chaotic for him, so we are starting to put feelers out for the right home.

Roscoe does well with other dogs and cats as long as they are calm, or if he has a place where he can get up off the floor and relax. Because he is older, he does struggle a bit with stairs, but he is more than happy to be carried. He loves car rides, is the best cuddle bug, and truly deserves a quiet, loving place to enjoy his golden years. He can be a little picky with food, but that just adds to his charm.

We will be very selective when choosing a home for Roscoe because we want this to be his final move. He deserves stability, comfort, and a family committed to giving him the love he needs. Before going to his new home, Roscoe will receive his first round of vaccines and a wellness check.

🐾 NEW FOSTER DOG – Meet Duke! 🐾

Everyone say hello to Duke! 💙

Duke is a 4-year-old Labrador Retriever looking for the right forever home.

About Duke:
• Must go to a home with absolutely no children
• 🐕Lives with another dog and does well — loves to play!
• Has lived with a laid-back cat and has been fine
• Barks at strangers at first but settles down quickly
• Gets excited and may jump when greeting
• Potty trained
• Up to date on rabies
• Not neutered
• High energy — loves to run and play
• Also loves to jump in bed and cuddle
• Will get into trash if left out
• Kennel trained but can be left out if food isn’t accessible

Duke hasn’t been walked on a leash regularly since he was a puppy, as he’s primarily been let outside off leash — so he may need some refresher training there.

He would do best in an adult-only home that can give him structure, exercise, and love. 💙

This precious girl is our newest foster, and her name is Peanut 💕
Peanut is a 3-year-old Beagle mix who’s looking for a patient, understanding home where she can feel safe and settle in at her own pace.

Peanut has a bit of social anxiety and can struggle when her people leave or meeting new people , but with reassurance and consistency she does just fine. Her crate is her happy place—when she’s had enough socializing, she’ll happily tuck herself in for a cozy nap 💤

She would thrive in a calm home with someone willing to give her the time and love she needs to build confidence. In return, you’ll get a sweet, gentle girl who just wants to belong.
