Teasdale Angus - Weekly Edition - Week May 24th, 2026
Welcome to the Teasdale Angus's Weekly Edition. The young man that made us parents took his last and highest achievement as a Cuba City High School student. Jonas Teasdale, class of 2026, completed his High School career, as he prepares for the next chapter of his life with UW Platteville in pursuit of his Construction Management degree.
The good lord blessed us with a beautiful window for 1st cutting alfalfa. With the scent of fresh cut hay in the air, this coming week is filled with sunshine and temperatures in 80's.
Embryos continue to get put in, while our last group of spring recips just got set for ET 6/8. Our last group of spring heifers will be cidr'd on Monday, and then it is maintenance from that point forward.
Teasdale Initiative just hit a major milestone, being the #1 $C and $B, power carcass and grid bull at Origin. He is 2 weeks into his CSS quarantine, with the goal by end of June to be CSS qualified and eligible through ABS and export.
Teasdale Lady 4055-610, reg # 21546691, also hit a milestone, at the ripe old age of 3 months, being the #1 DBA Lincoln female in the breed, with a commanding 11 CED, 161 YW, 17 CEM, 100 CW, 2.1 Marb, 1.8 RE, 321 $B and $485 $C.
Her maternal sister, Teasdale Lady Inferno T617, reg # 21546686, following in her footsteps, with a 7 CED, 171 YW, 108 CW, 1.62 Marb, 1.71 RE, 298 $B and 469 $C.
Teasdale Barbara 0169-608, reg # 21511567, continues her place as the #2 $C 0169 in the breed, with incredible balance, commanding 13 CED, 172 YW, 32 Milk, 94 CW, 2.16 Marb, 1.09 RE, 274 $B, and 440 $C.
The overall quality of this spring calf crop is transformational for Teasdale Angus, with progeny highlights we hope to see be an iconic footprint in the breed for generations to come.
Our quality versus quantity approach to build the best representation of the breed, has been a slow but steady road down the path of progress with successes and failures along the way.
Our new venture for the end of 2026, starts with the development of our last barn project to support our program's future goals. This project will allow us to share the views of a beautiful rolling valley, destined for beautiful black angus cattle with our angus breeder friends in our joint pursuit of offering some of the breeds best genetics in southwest Wisconsin. But that is a story for another day...
We have beautiful 1st crop hay to make ❤️
