We’re proud to be consigning several does to the upcoming SEKGA (Southeastern Kiko Goat Association) Spring Sale.

Kidding Season Update at Longleaf Acres 🐐

We welcomed a sharp set of twin bucklings this week here at Longleaf Acres.

Both boys tipped the scales at over 9 lbs — one of the heaviest twin sets we’ve had this season. Strong, healthy, and already up and moving like they should be.

One of them is a really eye-catching tri-color buckling that we’re excited about.

Mom and babies are all doing great.

We’ve got several more does due in the next couple of weeks, so stay tuned — more to come.

🎄 Merry Christmas from Longleaf Acres 🎄

We’ve been blessed with a great start to kidding season this Christmas — healthy mamas, strong babies, and a whole lot to be thankful for. Watching these kids hit the ground and thrive never gets old.

We’ve still got a few more does due around early March, but so far everything is growing, healthy, and doing exactly what Kikos are supposed to do.

🐐 It’s Officially Kidding Season at Longleaf Acres! 🐐

We officially kicked off this year’s kidding season over the weekend with two sets of healthy Kiko twins! Both mamas and babies are doing great — strong, lively, and off to a great start.

It’s always an exciting time of year watching new life hit the ground and seeing those genetics come together. Plenty more on the way over the next few weeks!

🍂 Fall Update from Longleaf Acres 🍂

It’s been a good summer here on the farm — plenty of rain early on, healthy browse, and the herd is looking strong going into fall. Things are starting to dry up now, and with space running a little tight, I’ve decided to let a few of my girls go.

✅ Most of the herd is bred and on track to kid soon.
✅ Two of my 2021 does are heavy bred to Boo and due in November. Big, solid does that look great carrying.
✅ I also have several 2024 doelings (100% New Zealand Kikos and purebred Kikos) that have recently been put in with Maverick. They’re on track to kid out in March ’26.

All are healthy, well-framed, and carry the genetics to add real value to someone’s breeding program.

Longleaf Acres Update

Things are coming along nicely here on the farm — we’ve had plenty of rain, the browse is thick, and the herd is healthy. We keep free-choice minerals out year-round (shout out to ), and it’s showing in how these does are carrying themselves. Most are already exposed to our bucks, Boo and Maverick, with a few still waiting to be put in with them later this fall.

Since space is getting tight, I’ve decided to let a few of my girls go this fall. These are solid, well-bred, big-frame does with strong genetics — a great fit for anyone looking to add quality to their herd.

Here’s what I currently have available:
• Two 100% New Zealand Kiko does (born April–May 2024, open)
• Two purebred Kiko does (born April–May 2024, open)
• Two purebred Kiko does (born 2021, exposed to Boo and appear bred)

These girls all have the genetics, frame, and potential to add real value to a breeding program.

Breeding Season is Here at Longleaf Acres!

Turned my bucks in this past weekend, and we’re officially kicking off breeding season. Always one of my favorite times of year — full of promise and anticipation.

Both of my Kiko bucks, Boo and Maverick, are a year and a half old, and I’m really pleased with how both are growing and developing. Boo is a blue/white buck I raised here at Longleaf Acres, and Maverick came from Ala Miss Kikos. He’s been a strong addition to the herd — great structure, solid genetics, and a calm demeanor. Big thanks to Ala Miss Kikos for him.

We’ve had plenty of rain lately, and the browse is lush, green, and growing. Pastures are looking great — it’s an ideal time to start the season. We’re expecting kids to start arriving sometime between November and December, and I’m hopeful for a strong crop this year.

Also, keep an eye out — we’ll have a few bred does available in July and August, with more quality bred does expected closer to fall.
